Description
“Dwarven scarabs are small, insect-shaped automatons whose purpose closely mirrored that of dung beetles or sewer roaches. They patrolled Dwemer settlements, especially during the night, collecting organic refuse, grime, and decomposing material. Entire colonies lived deep within sewer systems and septik tanks, tirelessly maintaining the subterranean levels that even other automatons seldom reached. The Dwemer engineered them to require virtually no maintenance; after all, few would willingly service machines that spent their existence immersed in filth and rotting waste.

Each scarab contained an internal processing core that converted organic matter into steam. The waste was ground inside a sealed chamber, a mechanism powered by the rhythmic beating of their wings. This ingenious system generated just enough heat and pressure to sustain the creature indefinitely. It also granted them remarkable mobility: quick scuttling speed, clinging to slime-coated walls and ceilings with ease, and short bursts of flight when needed to reach particularly inaccessible areas.

With the disappearance of the Dwemer, these scarabs became obsolete within the larger automated network. Their programming lacked the adaptive routines shared by more sophisticated constructs, meaning they were never repurposed or repaired. They remained outliers, forgotten and now useless pieces of a once-precise machine ecology that continues to function without them. In a primitive act of self-preservation, many scarabs eventually disabled their own optical sensors and jaw mechanisms, components that consumed more energy than their failing cores could afford. But without a steady supply of organic matter to process, their steam-generation dwindled to the minimal output produced by wing-flapping alone.

Now they persist in a semi-lethargic, near-entropic state: slow, barely reactive, and long since incapable of flight. They cling to their old patrol routes out of decaying programming, ghostlike remnants of a sanitation system abandoned millennia ago.”

Compatibility
So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail’s mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don’t worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.
