Dwarven Weapons Mesh Fix and Improvements v1.0

A mesh replacer for Dwemer weaponry with main focus on fixing issues and giving some improvements. Covers all Vanilla Dwemer weapons, the Dawnguard DLC’s Dwarven Crossbow, plus some artefacts.

This is a general overview on what was done:
– All weapons’ Specular Strength and Normals smoothness readjusted.
– Standardised translations. Makes it easy for precise weapon position specially when exporting as OBJ file to use on other programs.
– Some weapons re-scaled and others with readjusted positions due to some being bad placed on Dragonborn’s hand causing clippings such as Dwarven Dagger.
– Cubemap replacement and improvement to all weapons and shields and added Cubemap compatibility to some that were lacking such as Volendrung.
– Added parallax and refraction effects for some like Dwarven Staff and Keening.
– Remapped Blood Decal.
– Removed nodes, unused strings and other stuff of extreme irrelevance. All blocks renamed and reorganised.
– All 3rd Person meshes were replaced with 1st person ones. (1st person meshes = More detailed mesh)
– Removal of duplicated vertices in all meshes and some received new triangulation.
– Readjusted weapons’ positions in inventory card to a standard.
– Improvements to some weapons like Dwarven Greatsword lacking a scabbard and Aetherial Shield and Staff with better visible glow in dark areas.

This replacer also counts with some artefacts like Keening, Volendrung, Spellbreaker and Aetherial Staff & Shield. All received special treatments and fixes as well. Check the pictures and screenshots for more info.

– To install this MOD manually just open the Zip folder and inside there’s a Data folder. Drag and drop it to where you installed your game, where TESV.exe is located.
– Then you’re good to go.
– If you see all your Dwemer weapons and shields positioned diagonally in your Inventory Card, then you have installed it correctly.
– You can safely remove these files in case you didn’t like the changes or something bad happened.

– Please, do not ask me for SE/AE or console Ports and Patches.
– The first screenshots taken are from a pure Vanilla game without any ENB or any kind of tweak.
– I made a fine-tooth comb to all weapons and tested properly all in game to be bug free specially with and without Vanilla’s HD texture pack. Despite that, if some kind of issue happens, feel free to report it.
– I personally recommend testing this mesh replacer without any influence from other texture replacers since I made this MOD with pure Vanilla in mind. Texture replacers will work fine with this MOD but results may vary. Some texture replacers were made with already acknowledged problems and limitations that Vanilla’s meshes had.
– Despite being for LE, these meshes can work on SE as well based on reports from users from my other MODs.
– The difference between 1st and 3rd person meshes is the polygon count. 1st person meshes are more detailed because Dragonborn is not fully rendered and to avoid FPS drops. Nowadays this method is irrelevant thanks to new GPUs.
– This MOD can also be used as a Resource MOD in case you don’t want it as a replacer.
